Shockwave Therapy
Radial Pressure Wave Therapy (RPW) often referred to as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatment (EPAT), or just Shockwave Therapy, delivers an evidence-based, non-surgical solution for patients suffering from chronic and acute pain. Shockwave Therapy utilizes acoustic and pressure waves that generate oscillations in the tissue. Shockwave therapy is approved by the FDA for the treatment of plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow and has been proven in clinical studies to help treat other spinal, orthopaedic, and sports injuries.
What does RPW Feel like?
Patients may report soreness and thumping sensation then treatment head passes over dysfunctional tissues. Patients report very little discomfort when actively traveling over healthy tissue.

Patients receive shockwave treatment for 3 to 6 total sessions, depending on their condition. Each session takes about 10-20 minutes and will be booked 48-96 hours apart. Results can vary. Some patients say they begin to feel pain relief after just one treatment. For others, it can take longer for pain relief to begin. Most ailments respond in the first 3 sessions.
