Pelvic Health Services:
Most of our patients present to us with the preconceived notions that leaking urine is a normal part of aging or having children. Or that they have spent most of their life thinking sex was supposed to be painful, because no one told them otherwise. However, many choose not to discuss these symptoms due to societal pressures, embarrassment, guilt or lack of accurate information.
What do we know? We know that, despite the commercials, none of these symptoms are “normal”. And, physical therapy can be an effective, conservative means of treating these conditions, among many other pelvic floor dysfunctions!
